Love
The most inexhaustible, sublime, tender, and infinitely thorny subject for creativity is the theme of love. The parting gaze, the parting smile* * *
The parting gaze, the parting smile: All things grew dumb in vacuous void. I loved you passionately while You left in air having thawed. I know I won’t see the skies Where I and you is starry match, And tender sun which used to rise, Won’t any shine to you dispatch. I know nor I’ll song rejoice Where you are lyrics, I am tune. In euphony no room, no space ‘Cause no warmth for hearts of two. I know nor I’ll lips my press On snowy skin of hands of grace, Nor will my tears woe redress, - The tears as all partings trace. The parting gaze, the parting smile I’ll keep for me as talisman. And each time I, as morning comes, With tears kiss the talisman.
